We head into the second week of the Book of Daniel where Daniel and his friends decide to refuse the royal food and wine, not because of any Biblical dietary restrictions, but as one way to retain their identity as a people of faith. How could they feast when their people were starving in exile? What privileges might we refuse as a way to live into our moral convictions?
